What is Probiotic?
The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines probiotics as “Live microorganisms which when administered in adequate amounts confer a health benefit on the host.” WHO also confirms that the health benefits from probiotics are strain-specific. Below are some of the examples of strain-specific/clinically proven probiotics:-
